The Bridge – A home away from home
International Seafarers’ Center The Bridge is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting seafarers visiting the Port of Rotterdam.
Our centre is located in the beautiful village of Oostvoorne, close to Europoort and Maasvlakte. Here, seafarers can enjoy some well-deserved time ashore in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Oostvoorne offers everything for a pleasant break from life on board. There are supermarkets and shops, cafés and restaurants, and a beautiful forest nearby for those who simply want to enjoy a walk and some fresh air.
At The Bridge, we believe that personal attention makes a difference. Our centre is run by dedicated volunteers, who give their time, experience and enthusiasm to make seafarers feel welcome.
We could not do this alone. Our work is made possible through the commitment and support of organisations, companies, and other partners who share our belief in the importance of seafarers’ welfare.

Together for seafarers
They offer a good selection of free coffee and tea, chocolate, as well as souvenirs. What really stood out was their generosity in providing winter clothes for those who need them—it shows how much they truly care about seafarers.
The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and inclusive. It’s a place where you can feel at home, even when you’re far away from it. They made our first visit very special and memorable.
Highly recommended to all seafarers visiting the area—you will be well taken care of.
